We did it Frayne!!!

Congratulations to the Ursula Frayne students who had a Tough Night Out, sacrificing their comfort in order to raise funds for, learn about and experience the plight of those who are experiencing homelessness.

We learned that we share far more in common than it may have seemed - we all have families, loved ones, histories, hopes and dreams, and we are all connected through our humanity, spirit and community.

Let’s strive to give and love generously moving forward from this experience, sharing the joy and love of Christ in all of our relationships and interactions with others and especially with those most in need.

Let’s work toward true and sustainable justice, not merely helping those who are homeless but rather by using our education, gifts, talents and positions in this world to bring an end to homelessness in our society.

Yours must be a work of love, of kindness, you must give your time, your talents, yourselves. The poor person is a unique person of God’s fashioning with an inalienable right to respect. You must not be content with tiding the poor over the poverty crisis; You must study their condition and the injustices which brought about such poverty, with the aim of a long term improvement.

We should all feel very blessed to be part of a genuine, loving, Christian community that strives toward social justice and the preferential treatment of those most marginalised and in need.

Well done to the Ursula Frayne community, and especially to the students for their courage and determination, guided by the Holy Spirit, to bring justice and comfort to the homeless youth of Perth.

As Christians we are all a part of the one Body of Christ, who are all called to be Christ-like, like St Vincent De Paul, by reaching out in service to meet the needs of others, especially the poor, the marginalised and the disadvantaged.

We have passed 50% of our fundraising goal!!!

Amazing work students, families, staff and our wider Frayne community! We have fundraised for 13 days, and we have 13 days left until our Tough Night Out!

We are tracking well toward our goal, but it will take our concerted efforts and focus to raise as much money as we can to support the homeless and at-risk youth of Perth!

Remember to share your links once or twice a week. Ask parents and family members to share your link through their social and business networks. 9 local businesses in Victoria Park are now advertising with QR code posters for us in their windows on Duncan Street and Albany Highway - and more will join in this week!

Not all students have yet registered online or begun to fundraise. Once we all get on board, share our links and strive for excellence in supporting the homeless youth of Perth - we will reach and possibly exceed our goal!!!
