HOW WILL I BE MAKING A DIFFERENCE BY TAKING PART?

All funds raised will go towards Passages Youth Engagement Hubs, located in Perth and Mandurah. A joint venture between Vinnies WA and Rotary Perth and Mandurah, Passages was established as a result of the growing rate of youth homelessness in Western Australia and the need for a unique specialist engagement service.

Passages offers a safe, friendly and non-judgmental space to access support and referrals for marginalised and at-risk young people aged 12-25 years of age. Relying heavily on funds from Vinnies shops in WA and support from the WA community through events like Vinnies Tough Night Out, Passages has a proven track record in helping give vulnerable youth pathways out of homelessness.

Passages does not require referrals or exclude individuals on the basis of past challenging behaviour, drug use or criminal activity. Young people that have high needs, complex trauma or behavioural challenges are often unable to meet the participation requirements of less specialised services.
